No internet = :<

Since my internet went down this past week, I realized how much I CANNOT live without it. What made it worse was that I had internet at random times, and then suddenly my connection would get lost. Frustrating! It would have been better if I just didn't have it all. The hubs said to wait a week, and I was thinking a week is nothing. Yea right, a week is long!

Recap of this week - we visited my grandma at Rose Hills. This was the first time I brought Lila to her gravesite. I always make a note to wear my sunglasses because it's hard to keep back the tears. I'm a crier, but when it comes to my grandma, the tears just fall so easily. We all miss her!!!! If only she got to meet her great granddaughter...one day.

Lila's been a great eater thus far except for butternut squash. Who doesn't like squash especially CCC's squash? I totally thought she would love it because hubs and I ate CCC's squash countless times while I was preggo, but it wasn't a hit. I just pureed some apricots, so I'm excited to see if she'll like those tomorrow.

Bye Bye Bouncer, Hello Saucer! The new IT toy in our household...she LOVES it! Lila thanks you eemo!

On another note, do I cut her mullet or what? Her hairdo is a little tame now. The front hairs don't stand up as much because of the weight, but as much as the front has grown, the back is growing rapidly too. I'm scared to cut it...I'm not ready!

this is how lila rolls...

Just when I started to get some good sleep, she starts to roll. How does sleep and rolling correlate? My paranoid booty can't seem to get good deep sleep because I keep thinking she'll forget to sleep with her head to the side when she's on her tummy. She's been sleeping on her stomach this past week, and I think she prefers it because she knows how to roll from tummy to back. I couldn't capture that on video - she only seems to do it when no one is watching.

On another note, summer time is pretty much here for my community. I've already seen people swimming since the start of May. Gotta love SoCal weather! Since the hubs gets summer hours, we're hoping to make those Fridays the swimming days. Her swim gear:

My dilemma...what do I wear? Stretch mark cream didn't help me one bit during my pregnancy. :(

Still thinking about that salmon

Went on a lunch date with my friend w/ our daughters. Too bad one was screaming the entire time and the other was fast asleep. I realized play dates are meant to be at someone's home when the babies are this young!

Anyhow, my gf got the Ginger Salmon at CPK (a new dish), and I'm still thinking about it!!!! Hmmm...fish at a pizza place? That's what I thought, but it was VERY VERY GOOD! I'm definitely getting that next time. :P

Sweetness

Sweet potatoes were a hit!

I bought Trader Joe's Organic Sweet Potatoes and baked them last night. Yummm...the aroma in our house made me think of my childhood. My mom and grandma loved eating them. Now Lila and I can enjoy them. Hopefully my hubs can appreciate them sooner than later.

Food pureed and ready to be frozen. These baby cubes are awesome! BPA free too!

Teeth are in!

As I was burping her and her slobber was getting all over my face, I noticed two shiny white things in her mouth. It couldn't be!

Her two bottom teeth are in! After the evening fussing and the night waking at month 3, her teeth are sprouting.

took me about 10 tries to get this shot!

Happy Mother's Day!

The weekend seemed too short. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms! It was exciting for people to say those three words to me. What a first! Lila gave me some extra time to sleep this morning...maybe her gift to me. :P

Shot of her new sleep position. ^^

The twins had their 3rd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Had fun, ate so many slices of the yummy pizza, Lila fell asleep in my arms towards the end, and we went crept out of there after Chuck threw tickets into the crowd. Madness broke out among the kids AND adults who were trying to grab the tickets off the ground. It was as if Chuck threw money into the air.

B & S opening up their gifts. Got B his Star Wars lightsaber and S a My Little Pony House.

Cheese!

Had Benihana for Mother's Day Dinner. Craziness I tell you! Lila was not into the whole knife throwing, steam volcano, fried rice heart beating, etc. Good thing I had a couple toys handy or else we prob wouldn't have been able to finish our food, and Beni's just isn't the same when it's take out. I finished off that green tea ice cream like it was water...for those of you who don't know, I'm a good eater. :P

Wall Collage...50% done

Hmmm...Lila likes it! She kept staring at it the whole day today wondering why a big brown paper bag was hanging off the wall. I didn't want to waste my craft paper (cheapo), so I used Trader Joes bags which didn't help because I didn't take the handles off nor did I tape it evenly (smart). I'm horrible with handyman projects. I'm hoping that the wall will look better after the five other frames go up. Can you believe me, a gal who didn't think I needed to use a leveler and a preggers who is almost 7 months actually accomplished this? Who needs a husband!? hehe

Leg warmers

One thing I'm trying not to do is overdress my daughter. I have a tendency to do so which I'm reminded all too often. Also, I've noticed my daughter takes after both mommy and daddy in that she has clammy feet. TMI! But yes, she has the ultimate clammalicious feet. Socks are her worse enemy in warm weather, but I just can't help it sometimes. Maybe it's because of that constant reminder from my mom, mil, anyone from the 1st generation that you must wear socks to keep from getting cold.

Anyhow, I came across baby leg warmers and purchased a couple because I thought it would be perfect to keep a pair handy in my bag. I would hate to have under dressed my daughter in a onesie and have her legs exposed while I'm out and about. I do keep an extra outfit in the car in case of an emergency, but these leg warmers take up such little space and are just so adorable! Also, the weather has been so crazy lately. Saturday was so chilly, yet Sunday was so nice and warm out that I got sunburned on my chest and face!

I bought a thick pair and a thin pair...didn't realize you can find them in different cotton weights. I also found the perfect pair for my niece which I'm including in her birthday present.

See -

She's into ballet and maybe one day will start actual ballet classes. How cute would it be to wear a tutu with these!?!

Now I just gotta find my leg warmers so I can be twins with her! hehe...yes, I do own a pair. My mom brought some home from the motherland a couple of years ago when it was the big trend to wear them over your shoes.

P.S. Wall collage is at a stand still...

Starting on SOLIDS!

Anxiety kicked in Friday night! I wanted to make sure I had everything ready for Saturday morning for Lila's first taste of cereal.

We started with 1 teaspoon of Earth's Best Organic Rice Cereal mixed with 4 teaspoons of my breast milk. She ate every bite! It made me kinda sad cause I realized she's not a little baby anymore :(

It was fun feeding her because I got to do that airplane thing with the spoon. I get such a kick out of that!

my messy eater! -

Next week - sweet potatoes! Hopefully I can get a shot of her with food splattered all over her mouth and cheeks...I find that so adorable!!!
