3 Months

Another month goes by...

She's 24.5 in long, 12 lbs 2 oz, and teething! Teething??? I thought that was supposed to happen at 6 months. What's going on? My doctor asked if she's been cranky lately, and she has been especially at night. She's chomping on her hands, drooling on her blanket, and just a lil fussier when she's trying to go to sleep. Doc said that her teeth won't come in till later, but she can tell that her gums are bothering her. She said, "Prepare yourself mentally because it can get worse".. Oh no! I just got used to the fact that she's sleeping in her own room and now this!

3 Months

Gotta learn some moves from Beyonce

I've made some weak attempts to exercise - walks around the lake, doing some crunches at home, dancing for Lila, etc. However, yesterday was a milestone. I went to 24 hour! My sis has been taking a hip hop class and has been raving about it, so I took it with her and will hopefully keep up with it on a weekly basis. It's also so nice to get out of the house even if it's to go to the gym. :P

Now to explain the title of my post...this instructor has a thing for booty shakin. I think she'll bust the Beyonce booty moves for every class. What to do? I can't do it. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I tried to do the shake when I got home. Cmon I'm sure all of you have danced in front of the mirror before! My poor body just isn't coordinated or have the speed to jiggle my butt that fast. I'll keep trying though! Summer is right around the corner, and I'm determined to look normal in a one piece. If not, I'll have to bust the three piece from high school = bikini + long shirt!

AHHHH I can't sleep. It's 10:19PM WAY PAST MY BEDTIME. A canker sore has developed in both sides of my mouth because of the lack of sleep. Do you want to know the reason why? I'm addicted to Boys over Flowers. Silly cheesy name for a Korean drama, but I'm hooked. I hate it and love it at the same time...thanks skinnyfat!

I keep tossing and turning in bed wondering if I should stay up watching these episodes on the computer until Lila wakes up for her midnight feeding. What do you think I end up doing????

First cold, first laugh, first Valentine's Day

Lila got sick this past week and also came down with an ear infection. It was so sad to see her sick because she wasn't her happy self. I'm so thankful she recovered quickly because I was one paranoid mama the past couple of days. Whoever invented the bulb syringe is one smart cookie!

Big sis came over this week to help me out and got the first chuckle out of Lila!!! We were both in shock and couldn't believe she could laugh already...hmmm was it a laugh or a double grunt? I'm now convinced it was a laugh because she did it again today with Won! I thought the coos were the cutest sounds, but the giggling is even better. Sadly I haven't been able to get a laugh out of her myself :(

We spent V Day with family. Cheesecake Factory take out! Yum! It's such a fun sight to see my niece and nephew doting on Lila. B is especially intrigued by her and is always wanting to look at her and feel her "bal go rak".

I finally bought the Tiny Love Symphony in Motion Mobile with the remote control, and I LOVE THIS THING! Why didn't I get this sooner? Lila has been mesmerized by her mobile...she spent almost 30 minutes in her crib smiling and talking to the animals. She responds so differently to this mobile than her butterfly one.

If only I knew how to post video clips..something else I need to learn.



Happy 1st Valentine's Day!

100 day celebration right around the corner

Lila is a few weeks shy of 100 days old, and I've been contemplating on what to do for the Baek Il. By the way, the 100th day celebration is a Korean tradition. In the past, due to a lack of medical information, Korea's seasonal temperature differences, and many childhood related diseases, the death rate for children was extremely high. Many children died before their first birthday. So when children lived to be 100 days old, the family would celebrate with rice cakes and other yummies.

We'll definitely be getting dduk which I LOVE, and we decided to cater Korean food. My hubs said he doesn't care what dishes we get as long as we order a big pile of those mayo covered mussels - the dish that always goes fast in the buffet line! Big sis will be providing dessert which will be a jello concoction. Jello always reminds me of jello shots which I had once in my life. lol, I'm assuming these will be better.

I'm getting the itch to start sewing again! My next sewing project will be making decorations for the baek il...if time permits. :P

I really want to make this garland (from Purlbee) and make some fabric Easter eggs to put on my tree branches.



So many wonderful things to look forward to in the next upcoming months. LRB will arrive into this world in a few weeks...skinnyfat will find out if it's a boy/girl tomorrow...baby shower to plan...woohoo!

babystyle - BANKRUPT!

I'm so bummed I can't use my gift card to babystyle. They filed for Chapter 11, and sadly they are not accepting ANY gift cards. What a loss!

Bigger by the second

My latest pic of Lila from last night. After her long stretch at night, she somehow always gets her arms out of her swaddle. Her new thing is having her itty bitty hand covering her face while she sleeps.



She's almost too big for her bassinet. What to do? I'm not ready to put her in her crib!
