Turquoise, pink, and yellow

The colors for baby #2's room. Hello again! I've been neglecting my personal blog. :/

With every spare minute I have, I've been consumed with gathering ideas for redecorating not only Lila's room, but baby #2's room, and the office/guest room. The hubs is freaking out that I'm going to spend all this money, but I promised him I would be doing it on a budget. It's kinda fun to do things on a budget anyways. Makes me appreciate all the hard work. What I'm hating is that I can't do things on my own - like picking up furniture and moving things around OR painting OR hanging stuff on the walls. I guess I can do the latter, but I've been getting light headed these days. My excuse!

Seriously, preg #2 is soooooo different from the first! Who knew? Esp cause I'm having another girl again!

My first purchase was this lamp base from PBteen (on sale now!):

Imagine cute vintage baby blocks inside? I love the idea that I can replace whatever goes inside as my kids get older.

I have an ivory colored lamp shade that has been sitting in my garage. I'm hoping I can spruce it up by adding some ribbon or fabric to it.

Anyhow, my journey to decorating will be posted on the lil sprinkles blog, so find me there folks!

I finally found his twin

I've never been a Dancing with the Stars fan. I'm a huge reality tv show junkie, but for some reason I never got into DWTS. I got sucked in this season...maybe because I wanted to see Kate Gosselin fail or maybe because I had a secret crush on Evan Lysacek!

Every time I saw Evan dance, I kept thinking to myself that he reminded me of someone. It finally clicked today! Hello, Lee Min Ho from F4!!!! I'm watching yet another K Drama, Personal Preference, which features Lee Min Ho. Still hot as ever. :P

Do you see the resemblance or it just me?

A better pic of Evan...

Drool. Is he gay??

I will forever be a teeny bopper.

happy birthday to the twinsies

We had a blast at their birthday party at Fun City. It was so crazy and hectic, I didn't even get a picture of the twins. :(

Since it was her second time here, I'm assuming that's why she wasn't as scared? Maybe she remembered the slides? She had to because she went down the monstrous one like 5 or 6x. Even my mom took her down on one of the slides.

then my sis...

then my mom...

Maybe I need to get a bounce house for her 2nd birthday??? She absolutely loves these slides and bouncers. I thought she would be a scaredy cat!

On another note, she got her first major "owie" this week. She fell down our front porch steps and hit her eye and scraped it. I felt HORRIBLE! I was watching her from behind and thought she was able to go down the stairs by scooting her butt down. She decided to somersault down the steps though. Her first black eye...

Easter

Can't believe a year has gone by, and I can still recall everything that happened in 2009 Easter!

I got to see Lila in action during the Easter egg hunt, and it was HILARIOUS! She would pick up an egg, shake it, and depending on if she liked the sound (I'm guessing here), she would either drop it back down or put it in her bag. No rhyme or reason why she chose certain eggs to make the cut.

"Shake, shake, shake"

She hit the jackpot!

With her unnis

Yay for Spring Break! Time to relax and play with friends :)

BFF

March was a sad month for our family, so when I see moments like this...gosh, it makes me so happy and appreciative of the lil things in life. Here is my "nephew" and my little one. BFFs already! She loves JH, and I'm seriously so grateful that JH is so good to her. He even feeds her dinner while I cook and takes the sand off her feet after playing at the park. Did I mention he's only a fourth grader? That's true family love.

March...a month of new beginnings

I got a job! A tutor/daycare job that is. I will be watching my cousin's kid who is a fourth grader. I'll be picking him up from school, helping him with his homework, and tutoring him in English and Math. It will be interesting! He came over yesterday afternoon, and Lila did ok. She offered him some ca-ca as he was leaving, so I'm assuming he passed her test. I'll find out today how it will be like to have two kids in the house?!! Granted he's old enough to take care of himself, but now Lila won't have my undivided attention. Uh oh.

On another note, Lila has been showing signs of not wanting to take her morning nap. It's been taking longer for her to fall asleep. I can hear her throwing the toys that are in her crib to the floor. Is she being defiant?

Changes, changes!

Disneyland!

Finally sucked it up and bought an annual pass. Cost me an arm and a leg but it's ok. To see Lila light up and start screaming in Small World made it all worth it!

No line! Woohoo. It pays to go right when the park opens.

The moms I went with are avid Disneyland visitors, so they had it all planned out.

Park at Downtown Disney.
Ride It's a Small World.
Give the kids a snack as we head on over to CA adventure.
Get free tortillas at the tortilla exhibit.
Visit the characters...this time it was Pluto. Lila burst into tears when she saw him. Maybe next year?
Catch the 11:30 showing of Mickey's Playhouse.
Ride Heimlich's Chew Chew Train. Did this all in 3 hours and made it back to my car to get free parking. haha.

The dreaded first driving ticket

I went to a baby shower this past weekend, and it was held in a beautifully decorated home. The shower was oh so cute too and the games...TOO MUCH FUN!

So I came home that afternoon and decided I would finally do something about my horrid windows! I bought curtains! I'm SOOOOO nervous because I'm not a curtain person, but I was inspired to take a risk. Then I decided I needed a bench for my bedroom, a vanity for the corner of my bedroom, barstools, decor for my staircase walls, etc. Ugh!

My search has sadly come to a halt though. I got pulled over for the FIRST time, let me repeat the first time ever in my history of 12 years of driving and got my first ticket - the cell phone ticket. I really have to hit myself because I even saw the Oprah episode of how dangerous it is to use the cellphone while driving. In my defense, I was using it at a stoplight to check emails. :/ I always told myself if I ever got pulled over, I would start crying but that didn't happen. I got SOOOOO defensive and this cop was an A$$. He asked me why I was using the phone, and my response went something like this...

Me: I'm so sorry officer. I was trying to lower the volume to vibrate on my phone so that if someone called my daughter wouldn't hear it because it's time for her to nap. (stupid excuse, huh?)

Lila: Ahhhhhhh! Screaming and kicking her legs in a happy way. She was in the best mood.

Cop: She doesn't look tired to me. Give me your ID.

I got so discouraged of my tarnished record that I don't want to decorate anymore.

First week of school

First off, I'm home! Yippee! Paris was amazingly beautiful, but my home is the best place to be.

I was a bit nervous about taking Lila to school the week we came back from vacay, but she fell right back into her schedule. I have to say she is an easy lil girl when it comes to her sleep. As long as she has crib and blankie, she's good to go.

Our first week of school was fun, interesting, and really eye-opening. I predicted Lila would enjoy herself and behave during circle time because she loves music and books, but what about activity time, craft time, recess, and snack time?

Activity time: B+
I don't think she's ever sat in a chair by herself without a seatbelt attached to her. Granted these are tiny chairs but I didn't think she was capable of plopping her booty on and off the chair. She did it though! I give her a B because she still tries to put stuff in her mouth.

Craft time: D
Lila is one of the youngest in her class. Some of the crafts they do are pretty difficult! Can a two year old really glue circles on a piece of paper and use masking tape to attach a stick to it? I know the parents are supposed to do most of the work, but man...Lila won't have any part of it. I won't fail her on this because she will at least sit down at the table!

(Finished craft by mom)

Recess: A+
How can any kid not love recess? She's amazed not by the playground with the swings and the slides but of the dirty ball in the corner or the woodchips on the ground. That's my girl! She did however set her sights on a cute boy. Oh no! Hope this isn't a precursor to what I'll face when she's older.

Snack time: A
So far so good!

I have to make Valentines to give out next week. Exciting! hehe my Lila stamp needs to be put to use!

Bonjour!

4 more days till we get to see the Eiffel Tower and the Mona Lisa and eat baguettes and crepes and to scour the shopping area for a bag and find some fun trinkets for Lila!

Our hotel looks clean. whew. Remember I have a thing about weird looking hotel rooms.

If Paris goes well, maybe Korea will be next? Crossing my fingers because I desperately want to go to the motherland soon.
