Wall Collage Update

Step 1 - Frames have been organized on my floor. Completed!
Step 2 - Tranfer frames to craft paper to be traced..tomorrow.
Step 3 - Tape paper onto wall..tomorrow.
Step 4 - Ask hubs to level/hammer nails..Saturday before Game 7 of Bulls/Celts (not after bc if his beloved Bulls lose, he won't do jack for me due to temp depression)
Step 5 - Hopefully blog and show you before and after pics only if i like. if i don't like, what do i do?

Never wake a sleeping baby until...

NOW! After an hour and a half of Lila sleeping for her morning nap, I turned on the monitor because I wanted to make sure she just wasn't awake and laying there without making any sounds. To my surprise, she was sleeping on her side. I just had to go in to take a picture of it because this was a first. I crept in silently, pressed the clicker on my camera and realized it was on video mode. The oh so quiet click woke her up (great job on my part), and I kept taping.

I've been waiting and waiting for this day. I have a huge smile on my face. She rolled from back to front, and that was it. One roll, but it was a good roll! I kept waiting for more, but I think it tired her out. Crossing my fingers I can capture it on video tomorrow...that is if she feels like doing it again. Not sure if she will because I let out a loud scream when she did it. She prob thinks she did something wrong!

I'm on a roll!

I enjoy scrapbooking, but it takes me forever to complete a page. I wouldn't necessarily say it's because I'm a perfectionist but more because I'm a fickle person. I'm wishy washy, change my mind ever so often kind of girl ESPECIALLY when it comes to scrapbooking. There are so many paper choices, sticker colors, stamps, die cuts, ahhh! What's sad is that I'm not the kind of scrapbooker that fills the entire page though I would soon like to be. I place pics here and there, add a caption, and top it off with some stickers.

After realizing Lila is almost halfway to her 1 year, it occurred to me I'm only on her birth at the hospital! Slow as molasses. Last night, I was so determined to get her birth completed, and I'm actually done! Here is one of the completed layouts before moving on to Christmas.

Is my baby ready?

Yes she is! Lila is definitely ready for some actual food in her tummy! I'm so excited yet sad that it's happening so fast. She'll be five months next week, and I think we'll be starting her off with some rice cereal this weekend. I bought some fun colored spoons and bowls and Earth's Best Organic Rice Cereal. I heard Gerber's Cereal was good too...we'll see what works for her. I have my Kiss Me ready to go. That thing has been put to great use already - hubs loves making smoothies and fruit juices with that thing!

Interior Designer...NEED ONE!

My wall in the family room is so bare. I have always loved blown up pictures which I got from my mom. From as long as I could remember, my mom always had huge poster size photos of me and my sis on our living room walls. So now after much consideration, my naked wall is going to be covered in a photo collage.

I'm so torn about this. I wish I could make it somewhat eclectic with half photos and half prints, but I'm horrible with figuring out what matches with what. Plus, I don't think my furniture would fit that style.

My lil thumb sucker

Everywhere we go, no matter if it's day or night, pre bedtime, post nap time, she finds her thumb! How do babies do it? How do they know that the finger to suck on is their thumb? Guess it's the easiest to find? Initially she would devour her index and third finger, but it's all thumb now!!







We will be starting our first reading class very soon! I'm looking forward to learning new nursery songs with her. It seems like I sing the same two songs over and over to Lila everyday - Itsy Bitsy Spider and The Three Bears in Korean. She must be so sick of hearing them!

Hours on end reading...

Ikea Hacker! I am a knick knack buyer. I can spend hours at Ikea. I stumbled across www.Ikeahacker.blogspot.com, and I spent three hours today just reading what these talented people made out of Ikea purchased items. Do I have time to make such stuff? Sadly no but reading that blog makes me want to hit up Ikea!

Christian...Tory...

Christian Louboutins or Christian Sirianos or Tory Burch or all of the above??? That is the question! I've been itching to buy a new pair of shoes. Louboutins are going on sale this week. I'm sure "sale" still means forking out a couple hundred. :< Is it worth it?

I googled Project Runway Season 6 because I've been getting antsy on the outcome of the court case, and I was happy to see that Lifetime will be airing the 6th season this summer and also pleasantly surprised to see that Christian Siriano made a shoe line for Payless!



His shoes are so out there, and the only pair I would buy are prob those brown ankle boots on the bottom right. Sky high, the way I like them! I def wouldn't wear them while holding Lila...imagine another Britney almost mishap. Payless would be so friendly on my wallet!

And then there's Tory Burch...ughh so expensive yet I know I would prob wear her flats like everyday!

I figure Mother's Day is coming up, yay! Totally a reason to ask for new shoes, right?
