My lil thumb sucker

Everywhere we go, no matter if it's day or night, pre bedtime, post nap time, she finds her thumb! How do babies do it? How do they know that the finger to suck on is their thumb? Guess it's the easiest to find? Initially she would devour her index and third finger, but it's all thumb now!!

We will be starting our first reading class very soon! I'm looking forward to learning new nursery songs with her. It seems like I sing the same two songs over and over to Lila everyday - Itsy Bitsy Spider and The Three Bears in Korean. She must be so sick of hearing them!

Hours on end reading...

Ikea Hacker! I am a knick knack buyer. I can spend hours at Ikea. I stumbled across www.Ikeahacker.blogspot.com, and I spent three hours today just reading what these talented people made out of Ikea purchased items. I love this jewelry cabinet...so anthro and so natural - http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/2008/08/angies-george-nelson-inspired-jewelry.html.

Do I have time to make such stuff? Sadly no but reading that blog makes me want to hit up Ikea!

Christian...Tory...

Christian Louboutins or Christian Sirianos or Tory Burch or all of the above??? That is the question! I've been itching to buy a new pair of shoes. Louboutins are going on sale this week. I'm sure "sale" still means forking out a couple hundred. :< Is it worth it?

I googled Project Runway Season 6 because I've been getting antsy on the outcome of the court case, and I was happy to see that Lifetime will be airing the 6th season this summer and also pleasantly surprised to see that Christian Siriano made a shoe line for Payless!

His shoes are so out there, and the only pair I would buy are prob those brown ankle boots on the bottom right. Sky high, the way I like them! I def wouldn't wear them while holding Lila...imagine another Britney almost mishap. Payless would be so friendly on my wallet!

And then there's Tory Burch...ughh so expensive yet I know I would prob wear her flats like everyday!

I figure Mother's Day is coming up, yay! Totally a reason to ask for new shoes, right?

Happy 4 Months!

Yay, she's hit the four month mark!

Milestones:
* Full head control
* Grabs toys
* Recognizes my voice/face
* Sleeping at least a six hour stretch at night
* Laughing
* Squealing/shrieking like a madwoman. Guess she loves the sound of her voice?

She's 13 lbs 6 oz and almost 25 in long. Not quite there but hopefully soon :) We went to visit the Easter bunny to take some pictures @ Fashion. No crying yet no smiles. She had that what are you doing to me look...classic one that the hubs does all too often.

Of course I had to jump in for a shot for the scrapbook :P

Another one w/ the cousins. My sis and I have yet to take a pic with the kids...why!!!

I can tell it will be a beautiful weekend...have a great one!

Rub a dub dub

Yesterday was bath time, and both Lila and I love this time. I love it because she loves it and it calms her, and she loves it because...who knows why? She loves water unlike her mommy who can't swim. I have one of those Korean ahjuma bodies, ya know? I can swim under water, paddle like a dog, but I can not free style for the life of me. After two strokes, I start sinking and can't seem to keep afloat.

Anyhow, I was super excited to use this visor to protect her ears. I'm paranoid about water getting inside her ears...something I prob got from my mil.

She wasn't too thrilled about having this big floppy thing around her head but I love it. One of the best inventions made for someone like me.

To be young again

I'm approaching the 30's...yikes! Not like it's a bad thing, but it just got me thinking have I done everything I wanted to do in my 20's? Or the real question is what can I not do in my 30's that I can still get away with in my 20's? Am I just rambling?

I spent hours on end reading old cards and letters from my college days. I opened some old boxes I picked up from my mom's house, and I was so excited to see my old stash of letters. It was the highlight of my night! Gosh the things my friends and I wrote about..."you're so buckwild", "i'm napster.com", "live it up, you're only 21 once. no more hiding in the bathroom at le prive"!!!! awww that was the last thing i read - my 21st birthday card from my girlfriends. And yes, there was a time my friend and I hid in the bathroom of a club because we were underage, and the Alcohol Crackdown people (forgot their official name) came to check people's ids. We were so terrified thinking we would go to jail. I still remember what I wore that night - a white tank top with tulle spaghetti straps. Whoa..scary!

Anyways with all this reminiscing, I realized I need a change. I've decided to get highlights instead of my favorite...magic straight. I'm excited because I think I've done it twice in my life, so that's my way of feeling young again.

Weeks of good food

Won is a good eater, but with certain foods he just won't touch like Thai and Dim Sum. All I know is he's missing out! For the past 3.5 years, I've had to eat Thai and Chinese without him...may it be with my friends or family or coworkers but never with him! I craved Pad Thai and Chow Fun noodles during my pregnancy and always had to get take out separately from him.

This week was filled with yummy food. Thai last week, Caesar's Mongolian Beef Buffet yesterday (similar to Genghis Khan at the mall), and Dim Sum today. ooooohhh yummy! I haven't had Shrimp Shumai for years, and the Trader Joe's Frozen Shumai doesn't cut it. My lunch dates have been with my sis and the twins, but it makes it easy because they follow Lila's schedule so I can go in and out.

Twins amusing Lila so mama can eat!

Her new fave going out toy:

At this rate, these hip hop classes are doing nothing for me since I'm not eating as healthy as I should be. I hate it..i love food too much..
